Meanwhile, the visitors are not safe just yet and probably require three more victories to be certain of top-flight football next term.

Inter v Cagliari Predictions and Preview
After a mini resurgence in February that resulted in four wins from six, Inter have reverted to the winter slump that took them out of Scudetto contention. The Nerazzurri have failed to pick up maximum points from any of their last three duels and if Icardi has a rare off day, the whole side suffers such is the overreliance on the captain and talisman.
The Milan giants’ latest setback came against a resolute Atalanta side who frustrated Luciano Spalletti’s men for large spells. The Bergamo based club executed their game plan to perfection and it was apparent early on that Inter would struggle to break Gian Piero Gasperini’s side down. Spalletti rested Antonio Candreva for the weekend tie, but the Italian should slot back in on the right flank and is 15/2 to net anytime during the encounter.
Icardi is 4/1 to hit a brace while the Nerazzurri are the overwhelming 1/5 favourites to take the spoils before mouthwatering contests with Juventus and Lazio. Travelling party Cagliari picked up a morale-boosting victory against Udinese in the previous gameweek and have a tough run in to contend with. The Sardinians have matches with four clubs chasing European places and there is a danger they could get sucked back in to the relegation drop zone particularly if the likes of Crotone and SPAL secure triumphs in their upcoming fixtures.
Cagliari are a mighty 16/1 to pull off a shock success and this outcome would have consequences for both ends of the table as the season nears its climax.
One to watch for Inter: Rafinha is enjoying regular playing time for the Nerazzurri and is developing a nice understanding with Icardi. The Barcelona loanee is 7/1 to open proceedings.
One to watch for Cagliari: Pavoletti cut a frustrated figure in Naples but has since found the perfect environment to showcase his ability. The burly hitman is 21/2 to score last.
Long shot: For all the criticism levelled at Inter, it is worth noting they have only lost four league contests all year. Of course, the problem has been consistency and much will depend on which Nerazzurri side takes to the field but the hosts should feel confident. A resounding 4-0 result for the home team is available at 28/1.
