Atletico Madrid vs. Espanyol Predictions and Preview
Atletico Madrid are starting to generate some momentum as they attempt to push league leaders Barcelona all the way for this season’s La Liga title.
Diego Simeone’s side are unbeaten throughout their last 13 league matches while they have won five of their last six home matches in the competition.
Espanyol’s form is going the other way – after sitting second after 12 rounds of matches they have now lost four consecutive matches and have dropped into the bottom half of the standings.
Rubi’s side have lost against Sevilla, Girona and Real Betis, and perhaps most worryingly, 3-0 at Getafe in a run of results which has seen them slide down to the table.
If you fancy the home side to be leading at both half-time and at the final whistle, such odds are available at 5/4.
One to watch for Atletico Madrid: Nikola Kalinic did not find the net in any of his first seven La Liga games but has now scored in consecutive outings following Diego Costa’s injury. He is available at a tempting 31/20 to make it three in a row here.
One to watch for Espanyol: Borja Iglesias is the man to watch for Espanyol having netted seven of his eight goals this season across his last 12 games. He is priced at 5/1 to find the net in this clash.
Long shot: Atletico Madrid have already secured an impressive 12 clean sheets this campaign while Espanyol have amassed a credible six. Odds of this game to finish scoreless are at 13/2.
