La Liga leaders Barcelona will look to maintain their seven-point lead at the top of the table as they host in-form Girona at the Camp Nou on Saturday. Ernesto Valverde’s side will be heavy favourites despite Girona being in-form with only one defeat in their last six outings.

Barcelona v Girona Predictions and Preview
Barcelona were running away with the league title; 11 points clear of Atletico Madrid in second and a further eight of fourth-placed Real Madrid.
However, that lead has now been cut to just seven points after successive draws – a 1-1 draw at Catalan neighbours Espanyol and scoreless stalemate with Getafe – and despite last week’s win at Eibar, the club’s tough run of fixtures may be beginning to take their toll.
Ernesto Valverde’s side will find it tough against their in-form regional rivals and will have been tired from their midweek trip to England to take on Chelsea in the Champions League.
Girona have taken 11 points from their last six league games and their only loss in that run was a 1-0 defeat at Sevilla, with a draw at Atletico Madrid also included.
Barca are still priced as strong favourites to take all three points at odds of 2/13, while an unlikely away win is available at 22/1 with the draw at 43/5.
If you fancy the home side to be in the lead at both half-time and the final whistle, you can find odds of 8/15 while a Barca win to nil is priced at 15/16.
Barca’s last few games – 2-0, 2-1, 1-0, 1-1, 2-0, 0-0, 2-0 – have been low scoring, while Girona’s last five games have produced only eight goals. Fewer than 2.5 goals is 5/2 while under 1.5 goals is 8/1.
One to watch for Barcelona: Luis Suarez has already scored 19 goals this season for Barcelona, including 14 in his last 15 in all competitions. He is priced at 1/2 to score anytime in this fixture.
One to watch for Girona: Uruguayan striker Cristhian Stuani is Girona’s dangerman and he has netted 13 La Liga goals this season including three in his last three. He is available at 41/10 to score at any point in this game.
Long shot: Girona have only conceded two goals in their last six outings – away to both Sevilla and Atletico Madrid, the latter of whom they drew with. A scoreless draw in this game is priced somewhat attractively at 40/1.
