Barcelona have the perfect opportunity to put their Champions League disappointment behind them as they return to La Liga action against bottom club Huesca. The Catalan giants can now focus all their efforts over the next month on reducing the six-point deficit to league leaders Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona v Huesca Predictions and Preview
This will be only the sixth ever meeting between Barcelona and Huesca, with the hosts the odds-on favourites for the win. Barca have won four of the five previous matches between the clubs, drawing the other 0-0 at El Alcoraz in April 2019.
The 2018/19 campaign was the only other time Huesca have been in the top tier of Spanish football. Barcelona thrashed them 8-2 at the Nou Camp that season, having triumphed 12-1 on aggregate in a 2014 Copa del Rey clash, courtesy of 8-1 and 4-0 victories.
As such, Barcelona have only ever netted exactly eight goals when playing Huesca at the Nou Camp. However, the Blaugrana’s form this season suggests they aren’t capable of repeating such a feat. If you think they can though, a Barca win with over 7.5 goals is priced at 31/1. You can back another 8-2 Barcelona victory at 200/1.

Barcelona to win both halves
Barcelona to win 4-0
Messi to score first
The home team are the 2/9 favourites in the outright market. Ronald Koeman’s side head into this Barcelona v Huesca preview six points behind Atletico Madrid and two ahead of Real Madrid. They’re still very much in the title race, and need to concentrate on that following the disappointment of losing to Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Blaugrana are unbeaten in their last 16 La Liga fixtures, winning 13 of those, with the run starting with the win away at Huesca in early January. That includes 10 victories from their last 11 matches, where the Catalans have scored 27 goals and conceded only six.
Given those stats and Huesca’s lowly position at the foot of the La Liga table, it’s tough to envision an away win on Monday night at 14/1 with William Hill. The Azulgranas have only won three times all season, losing 12 of their 26 fixtures to date. Pacheta’s side have shared the second-highest number of draws, with the stalemate here available at 13/2.
One to watch for Barcelona: Lionel Messi scored a stunning long-range effort against PSG in midweek, but later missed a penalty as Barcelona failed to turn their dominance into more goals at the Parc des Princes. The Argentine has put off-field issues at the club behind him, for now at least, and is the 9/5 favourite to open the scoring on Monday.
One to watch for Huesca: Rafa Mir has netted seven goals in La Liga so far this season, making him Huesca’s top scorer coming into this game. The Spanish attacker was on target as his team dramatically lost 4-3 to Celta Vigo last weekend, and netted a hat-trick away to Real Valladolid at the end of January. He is 12/1 for the first goal here.
Long shot: If you’re looking for big odds in this game, you may want to predict the correct scoreline on Monday night. Barcelona have scored 21 goals in five fixtures against Huesca over the last six or so years, at an average of 4.2 per game. The Blaugrana are 21/2 to win this game 4-0 in these Barcelona v Huesca predictions, rising to 36/1 with Messi scoring first.
