Cadiz v Atletico Madrid Predictions and Preview
Promoted Cadiz sit in midtable on their return to La Liga. The Andalusians’ main objective is to retain their top flight status and five victories in the second-half of the campaign should ensure this target is met with relative ease.
Alvaro Negredo and Anthony Lozano will lead the line and the former Manchester City ace is 11/2 to open proceedings. The Spaniard’s partner is 15/4 in the same market and is admired by West Ham. The Premier League outfit are still searching for a replacement for the departed Sébastien Haller and a £10m bid is reportedly being prepared for the Yellow Submarine hitman. Cadiz are 17/2 to inflict only a second domestic loss on Atletico and a draw is 11/4.

While Real and Barcelona have faltered, Simeone’s men have capitalised. Los Rojiblancos have always been highly regarded for their defensive work but with the addition of Suarez, there is now added flair to the Madrid outfit’s game.
The exiled Blaugrana fan favourite leads the way in the goalscorer standings for his new side with 12 strikes and is 11/4 to break the deadlock. Felix will link up with the Uruguayan hotshot and is available at 15/4. The Atletico record buy has 13 goal involvements from 23 appearances and offers something different to Suarez and Moussa Dembele who are orthodox centre-forwards.
Simeone can also call on Koke, Thomas Lemar, Saul, Angel Correa, Llorente and Yannick Carrasco and the depth and quality at the Argentine’s disposal topples Zinedine Zidane and Ronald Koeman’s squads which are short in a number of areas.
Correa is 2/1 to register anytime and Lemar can be found at 10/3. The world champion has finally adapted to his manager’s demands after a difficult period and is justifying the decision to turn down a switch to RB Leipzig. Atletico are 4/9 to chalk up another win.
One to watch for Cadiz: Local lad Salvi has seen it all and first turned out for the Andalusians in the third tier. The right winger is 13/1 to bag anytime.
One to watch for Atletico Madrid: Dembele has scored goals everywhere he has been and his acquisition is a coup for Los Rojiblancos. The striker is 7/2 to notch last.
Long shot: Ordinarily, Cadiz would be up against it when facing Atletico but the champions elect have only dropped seven points all season and there would be little surprise if the frontrunners remained unbeaten until May. A 4-0 rout in favour of the travelling party is 20/1.
