Real Madrid have finally found their feet this season, but the La Liga champions face a potentially tricky encounter away to Eibar this weekend. Los Armeros have proven tough to beat over recent weeks, and ought to give Los Blancos a decent match.

Last time: Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo were all on target as Real Madrid beat Eibar 3-1 at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano in June.
Eibar v Real Madrid Predictions and Preview
They may have stumbled their way through the opening months of the campaign, but Real Madrid have regained their composure and are starting to look like the champions of Spain. Zinedine Zidane will fully expect his team to continue their positive momentum with a win against mid-table Eibar, but Los Armeros are no pushover.
Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side are unbeaten in their last five La Liga fixtures. They’ve only won one of those – away to Real Betis – but Eibar claimed a credible draw away to league leaders Real Sociedad last weekend. The hosts are the 23/4 underdogs in this game though.
Los Blancos are 3/5 in this Eibar v Real Madrid preview, as they go in search of their fourth successive La Liga victory, and fifth in all competitions. The champions look to have weathered the early storm following a poor start to the campaign, and we can expect them to move up through the gears over the festive period.

Real Madrid to win and BTTS
Real Madrid to win 3-1
Benzema to score first
However, Zidane is unlikely to be able to call on a trio of attacking players for this game. Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Martin Odegaard are all sidelined through injury, although Karim Benzema has hit some form after netting a brace in Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Tuesday night.
Surprisingly, Eibar have a full 48 hours less to prepare for this game following Thursday’s trip to Racing Rioja in the Copa del Rey. It remains to be seen how much of an impact that has on the outcome of this one, but given the circumstances, Los Armeros would probably be delighted with a fifth draw in six La Liga fixtures. That is priced at 10/3 in the betting.
One to watch for Eibar: Spanish attacker Kike Garcia has scored three goals so far this season for Los Armeros, breaking the deadlock on two occasions against Villarreal and Sevilla. He is 9/1 to repeat the trick on Sunday night.
One to watch for Real Madrid: Karim Benzema has nine goals in his last nine appearances in all competitions. Zidane labelled his compatriot the best French striker of all time this week, with Benzema 7/2 to repay his manager’s faith by opening the scoring here.
Long shot: Madrid have won each of their last three games against Eibar, scoring nine goals and conceding two in the process. The champions are 12/1 to win 3-1 in these Eibar v Real Madrid predictions, rising to 48/1 with Benzema scoring first.
