Fiorentina host Juventus on (not quite) the final day of the Serie A season. The last match day has been split over three days with Fiorentina already knowing whether they can still catch Roma to grab the Europa League place. A win is needed though, to see off a challenge below from Atalanta.
Where and when: Stadio Artemio Franchi – 21 May, kick-off 19:45
Where you can see Fiorentina vs. Juventus: BT Sport
Last time: Thanks to the Coppa Italia, these two have already met three times this season. Juventus have won every single time and are yet to concede a single goal.
Fiorentina vs. Juventus Predictions and Preview
The Allianz Stadium bid farewell to one of its heroes on Monday when Giorgio Chiellini played his last home game for Juventus in a 2-2 draw with Lazio. Striker Paulo Dybala also ended his time in Turin in a game that meant nothing in terms of the league table for the home side. Juventus have already qualified for the Champions League and will hope next season brings a return to glory.
Fiorentina still have it all to play for though. La Viola have been fairly woeful in recent weeks and crashed 4-1 to lowly Sampdoria at the weekend. Thanks to Inter winning the Coppa Italia, there is an extra European place for Serie A this season – and Fiorentina can still qualify for either the Europa or Europa Conference League. They will need to up their game though – and keep former favourite Dušan Vlahović in check.
Fiorentina vs. Juventus full time result odds
It will be interesting to see if there is much enthusiasm in the Juventus side to take the game to Fiorentina on Saturday. With the Champions League berth already booked and the players looking forward to a break, this might be the perfect opportunity for Fiorentina to snatch the three points they need. The Europa League may already be out of reach by the time kick off comes around but a home win at 19/20 would do.
Fiorentina vs. Juventus both teams to score odds
If Juventus don’t put too much effort into this one after confirming their top four finish, it could be one-way traffic at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. But Chiellini will want to go out on a victory and that might be just enough to turn this from a potential biscotto into a competitive fixture. It may depend on whether Juventus score first, but both teams to score priced at 6/10 looks the best option here.
Fiorentina vs. Juventus correct score odds
Juventus may well put the effort in on Saturday until there is no chance of giving Chiellini and Dybala a farewell victory. That gives Fiorentina an excellent opportunity to take the game to the Bianconeri and consolidate their European place. There will also be a desire to put one over Vlahović after his mid-season move between the two clubs. That suggests there could be a few goals – and 2-1 to Fiorentina at 8/1 looks good value.
Fiorentina vs. Juventus first goalscorer odds
It is tempting to think that Vlahović, who is still Fiorentina’s leading scorer by a long way this season, might grab the first goal on Saturday against his former club. There is also always the chance that Chiellini might be given penalty duties in his final appearance for the club too. But it is La Viola that have had spot kicks in their last two matches, so Nicolás González might be a better bet.
