Girona vs. Barcelona Predictions and Preview
Girona are without a win in eight matches across all competitions but five of their last six games have been drawn, while their 3-2 defeat at Real Betis came only through a last-minute penalty.
Barcelona have recovered form after winning just three La Liga games in nine attempts by winning each of their last seven.
Their 3-1 win at home to Leganes was only their second goal conceded in seven as they have reinforced their chances of winning a fourth La Liga title in five seasons.
If you fancy the away side to be leading at both half-time and at the final whistle, such odds are available at 1.
One to watch for Girona: Cristhian Stuani has netted 12 league goals for Girona this season – that’s more than every other player in Spain with the exception of Barca’s Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. Two of those came against Ernesto Valverde’s men earlier this season and the Uruguayan is at 13/5 to add to his tally here.
One to watch for Barcelona: Lionel Messi has scored 18 goals from 18 La Liga games this season including seven strikes in his last five outings. He is priced at 3/5 to add to his three goals in three previous games against Girona.
Long shot: Barcelona have five clean sheets from their last seven while Girona have drawn five of their last six games. Odds of this game to finish scoreless are at 23/1.
