It’s do-or-die for Inter Milan in the Champions League, as the Nerazzurri face a must-win game in Germany against Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach. Die Fohlen have been mightily impressive during their four matches in Group B so far, and this is going to be a tough night for Antonio Conte’s side.
Where and when: Borussia-Park – 1 December, kick-off 20:00
Where you can see Gladbach vs. Inter: BT Sport
Last time: Romelu Lukaku gave Inter the lead early in the second half when the teams met in Milan in October, but the Nerazzurri needed a late goal from the same player to salvage a point after a Ramy Bensebaini penalty and Jonas Hofmann strike had put Gladbach into the lead.
Gladbach v Inter Predictions and Preview
The maths is very simple for both of these teams coming into this crunch Champions League fixture. A point is enough for Borussia Monchengladbach to secure their place in the last 16, while only a win will do for Inter Milan if they want to keep their interest in this competition going.
The Nerazzurri have failed to win any of their four Group B fixtures so far, losing both of their most recent games against Real Madrid to sit bottom of the section. Gladbach, on the other hand, are sitting pretty at the top of the table, after they brushed past Shakhtar Donetsk home and away.
Die Borussen thrashed the Ukrainian champions 6-0 in Kiev and 4-0 in the return back on home soil, while the Bundesliga side were very unlucky to concede late equalisers to both Inter and Madrid in their first two fixtures.

Both teams to score in both halves
Their two resounding victories over Shakhtar may give them the extra bit of confidence Marco Rose’s side need to get over the line here, with the hosts priced at 11/5 for the win in this Gladbach v Inter preview.
The visitors, meanwhile, are available at 13/10 with William Hill. The Nerazzurri were supposed to kick on this season after their second-placed Serie A finish and appearances in the Europa League final last term.
However, Conte may not even manage to get his team into the continent’s secondary club competition, with a draw or defeat here leaving them needing a victory in their final game against Shakhtar to finish third.
It’s all a far cry from where Inter wanted to be, but a win would be a real shot in the arm for their campaign. They may have to do without Andrea Pinamonti as they try to get it due to injury, while Aleksandar Kolarov, Marcelo Brozovic and Daniele Padelli are also covid doubts for the away team.
Gladbach’s Ramy Bensebaini is also doubtful due to coronavirus, while Jonas Hofmann’s hamstring injury is set to keep him out of this game. Another draw against Inter would be enough for the home team to reach the round of 16, and they are 14/5 to get it.
One to watch for Gladbach: Alassane Plea rattled in a hat-trick in Die Fohlen’s 6-0 victory over Shakhtar, and he is certainly one to watch for the first goal in these Gladbach v Inter predictions.
One to watch for Inter: Romelu Lukaku got the first goal the last time these teams met, and the powerful Belgian is one of the favourites to break the deadlock once again here.
Long shot: All four of Gladbach’s Champions League Group B games so far have been filled with goals, with every one so far seeing the net bulge four times or more. Inter have everything on the line here, with an over 4.5 goals bet priced at 18/5. Inter to win and over 4.5 goals is 13/2, while the visitors are 21/1 to win 3-2.
