Last time: Eden Hazard scored a rare goal and Karim Benzema bagged a brace, as Madrid beat Huesca 4-1 at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano at the end of October.
Huesca v Real Madrid Predictions and Preview
This is only Huesca’s second foray into the top tier of Spanish football. The Azulgranas are yet to avoid defeat when playing Real Madrid, but could their luck finally be in against the La Liga giants this weekend?
Madrid are back in the mire after a slightly promising run of nine games without loss in La Liga. Despite taking an early lead through Marco Asensio following Eder Militao’s even earlier sending off, Zinedine Zidane’s side went down 2-1 at home to Levante on Saturday.
That defeat means Real have only won one of their last five matches in all competitions, following losses against Athletic Bilbao and Alcoyano in the Supercopa de Espana and Copa del Rey. Los Blancos now trail league leaders Atletico Madrid by 10 points, having played a game more than their local rivals.

Real Madrid to win and BTTS
Real Madrid to win 3-2
Benzema to score first
Indeed, Madrid have even gone down to third following Barcelona’s upturn in form, while fourth-placed Sevilla are only a point behind. Worse still, captain Sergio Ramos is still injured and looking likelier than ever to leave the club when his contract expires in the summer.
With Militao banned and fellow defenders Nacho Fernandez and Dani Carvajal out of this game, Zidane will also be without Federico Valverde, Lucas Vazquez and Rodrygo for this trip to Aragon. There they’ll face a Huesca side who were victorious on their last outing, beating Real Valladolid 3-1 away from home.
Even so, the home team enter this Huesca v Real Madrid preview rooted to the bottom of the La Liga table. They failed to win any of their eight fixtures prior to last weekend’s triumph, losing six and scoring only three goals in the process.
The Oscenses have lost all three of their La Liga matches against Madrid, going down 4-1 a few months ago and losing 1-0 at home and 3-2 away in 2018/19. Those two games a couple of seasons ago were a lot closer than this term’s, with Madrid priced at 13/5 to win this game by one goal.
If you’re more interested in the outright market, you can back the visitors at 4/9 for the win with William Hill. Huesca are available at 7/1 for an upset which wouldn’t be anything like as shocking in years gone by, with the draw on Saturday priced at 19/5.
One to watch for Huesca: Rafa Mir bagged a hat-trick against Valladolid to double his La Liga tally for the season, while the on-loan Wolves forward also netted a treble in the Copa del Rey just before Christmas. He is 10/1 to open the scoring this weekend.
One to watch for Real Madrid: Karim Benzema scored an 89th-minute winner for Madrid against Huesca in March 2019 and a brace against them earlier this season. The French striker is the 18/5 favourite to break the deadlock in these Huesca v Real Madrid predictions.
Long shot: Real Madrid are far from their best right now, but they still have the players to beat La Liga’s bottom club. It could be a tight one, with a repeat of Madrid’s 3-2 victory over Huesca from a couple of years ago priced at 30/1. With Benzema scoring first, those odds rise to 111/1.
