Serie A leaders Inter go in search of a third successive win of the campaign against this weekend’s opponents Udinese. The Nerazzurri were billed as Juventus’ closest challengers for the 2019-20 title after a fine summer of recruitment, and look in ominous form already. Meanwhile, the travelling Zebrette sit in 14th in the table.

Inter v Udinese Predictions and Preview
Top of the table Inter have begun well to life under Antonio Conte. The former Premier League and Serie A winning boss has hit the ground running, and his blueprint has impressively – and quickly, been instilled in to his squad.
Conte will finally be able to field his first-choice defence with Diego Godin and Stefan de Vrij fit to feature from the opening whistle. Godin, the talisman of Diego Simeone’s Atletico was considered a real coup for the Nerazzurri and Inter look certain to be a formidable outfit from front to back this season.
Stefano Sensi has earned rave reviews for his two showing this term and the diminutive midfielder has deserved the plaudits coming his way. Sensi, a summer recruit from Sassuolo, started in Italy’s 2-1 win against Fiorentina in the international break and is sure to be a mainstay for club and country for many years to come.
The forward line will be led by Romelu Lukaku and the big Belgian already has two goals to his name. The striker netted against Parma on the opening day and hit the winner from the spot away at Cagliari. Lukaku is 11/4 to open proceedings and 9/2 to bag two or more.
Inter are the overwhelming favourites for the contest, available at 4/11 to clinch another three points. Opponents Udinese were beaten 3-1 in their most recent fixture at home to Parma.
The Zebrette had a woeful start this time last year, losing seven of their first 12 matches and can ill afford a similar set of results this autumn. The visitors are 15/4 to earn a share of the spoils and 15/2 to pull off a shock victory.
One to watch for Inter: Alexis Sanchez arrived at Giuseppe Meazza on a season-long loan from Manchester United and Conte believes he can revive the struggling Chilean. Sanchez isn’t expected to start, but is 11/2 to score last and crown a debut performance.
One to watch for Udinese: To much surprise, Rodrigo De Paul is still with the Zebrette, and the South American is Igor Tudor’s best player by some distance. The silky midfielder is 9/2 to strike first.
Long shot: Inter are now benefitting from a tried and tested formation and a settled line-up. In contrast, Conte’s predecessor Luciano Spalletti constantly chopped and changed his side and the inconsistent results reflected this. A thumping 4-0 triumph in favour of the home squad is 14/1.
