Juventus vs. Genoa Predictions and Preview
Ahead of their glamour trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, Juventus first face Genoa in domestic action. The Bianconeri are in unstoppable form and could conceivably go the whole league campaign unbeaten given the extraordinary talent in Max Allegri’s squad. The Italian champions are 1/5 to claim all three points, even if the former Milan tactician rings the changes. Paulo Dybala will probably be on the bench against the Red Devils but should start from the opening whistle against the Grifone and is 19/20 to net anytime during the 90.
Dybala has struggled for regular game time with Allegri favouring Mario Mandzukic as Cristiano Ronaldo’s first choice partner alongside the width of Costa or Federico Bernardeschi. Ronaldo, who has yet to miss a single minute of Serie A action, is a guarantee to start and is 7/10 to register first and 3/1 to score two or more. The superstar sat out Portugal’s international double header and will be eager to go after a rare break.
|Over 2.5 goals||4/7||Offer|
|Blaise Matuidi to score anytime||11/4||Offer|
|Juventus to win 2-0||5/1||Offer|
Opposition Genoa have had an eventful couple of weeks with Ivan Juric back in charge after replacing the dismissed Davide Ballardini. Juric returned to the hotseat for an astonishing third time and the Croatian has a tough run of matches coming up. The Grifone clash with Milan, Inter, Napoli and Sampdoria but have the division’s top scorer in Krzysztof Piatek to call upon. The red hot Pole leads the way with nine strikes and is now starring for his country. Piatek is an attractive 17/2 to bag first while Genoa are 12/1 to shock the hosts.
One to watch for Juventus: Juan Cuadrado, who is 11/5 in the anytime betting. The electric Colombian will deputise for Joao Cancelo at right-back but will have licence to get forward and support the attackers.
One to watch for Genoa: Goran Pandev. The veteran won’t start but is a shrewd option from the bench. Pandev is 20/1 to get what is likely to be a consolation and the last goal of the contest.
Long shot: Genoa have no issue going forward and are comfortably the highest scorers in the bottom-half of the table. Unfortunately for the Grifone, they have also leaked a large number at the other end of the pitch and the likes of Ronaldo and Dybala are unlikely to need many defensive howlers to make their mark. A 4-0 Bianconeri win is available at 10/1.
