With just two games of the 2021/22 Serie A season to go, it is entirely possible that Milan could claim the scudetto on Sunday night. They will not know if that has been achieved even if they beat Atalanta at the San Siro. But three points here could be enough.
Where and when: San Siro – 15 May, kick-off 17:00

Last time: Atalanta almost made Milan pay when these two met back in October, coming back from 3-0 to narrowly lose 3-2 with two goals in the last five minutes.
Milan vs. Atalanta Predictions and Preview
All the previews of Milan’s trip to take on Verona at the weekend had been about previous disasters where the Rossoneri had thrown away their chance of winning the league. But even after Hellas Verona took the lead at the Bentegodi on Sunday, Milan were still able to dominate proceedings and eventually won the game thanks in part to a brace from Sandro Tonali.
Now Milan could win the scudetto by beating Atalanta at home this weekend and end an 11-year league title drought. Stefan Pioli’s side were not the favourites to come out on top at the start of the season, but they are now in pole position.
Atalanta have not enjoyed the best of seasons, but the Bergamo club can now push for a European place – and will battle against Fiorentina, Roma and Lazio for a spot in the Europa League or the Europa Conference League over the next two weeks.
Milan vs. Atalanta full time result odds
Milan now look as though they have the finish line in their sights. Both clubs from the city – and Napoli – have taken turns to throw away golden chances to create a gap at the top this season, but now it is all in the Rossoneri’s hands. There is another game to go after this, of course, but three points here will go a long way. Atalanta will push for at least a draw, but the home win at 3/4 looks the best option.
Milan vs. Atalanta both teams to score odds
Over the last few seasons, Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta have been the runaway leading goal scorers in Serie A. That has not been the case this season, although they have still had an impressive strike rate – and have managed more than Milan. But one of Milan’s strengths this season has been their defence. Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu have been incredible in recent weeks, so a bet against both teams to score shows good value at 6/4.
Milan vs. Atalanta correct score odds
Milan have not managed to score more goals than any of Inter, Napoli or Lazio this season but still sit at the top of the table. The three against Hellas Verona last weekend was the most the Rossoneri had managed in a single game since beating Venezia 3-0 back in January. So a big win is probably not on the cards. A 2-0 home win seems more likely – and that can be found at about 10/1.
Milan vs. Atalanta first goalscorer odds
With all the attention on Olivier Giroud’s battle to break the curse and score ten Serie A goals this season as the number nine, other players have stepped up to do their part in that department. Tonali scored two against Verona (and could have had a hat-trick if his first goal was not disallowed) and Leão has been a handful for most opponents this season. But in the last home game of the season, we are going with Giroud to find the net first.
