Bitter rivals Milan and Inter face off in midweek Serie A action and nothing but a win for the Rossoneri will improve their Champions League hopes.
Gennaro Gattuso’s men have been playing catch-up since the legendary midfielder took over from predecessor Vincenzo Montella, and currently sit eight points below their neighbours in the table.

Last time: Mauro Icardi etched his name in to Derby folklore with a stunning hat-trick. The Inter captain hit a 90th minute penalty to seal the 3-2 win, leaving Milan crestfallen.
Milan v Inter Predictions and Preview
The latest instalment of the Derby delle Madonnina was scheduled to take place last month but was postponed following the tragic passing of Fiorentina skipper Davide Astori.
Home side on the night Milan suffered a setback in the previous game week against Scudetto holders Juventus. The 3-1 loss was not a fair reflection of the encounter and the Rossoneri will need help from elsewhere in order to clinch a top four berth.
Gattuso’s starting eleven tends to pick itself though Andre Silva was given a rare start away at the champions after his recent heroics. The Portuguese starlet got the nod ahead of fellow youngster Patrick Cutrone and the ineffective Nikola Kalinic, but Cutrone is likely to regain the striker’s jersey.
The 20-year-old, who is now a senior international, is 11/2 to open proceedings while Silva, who will certainly feature at some stage, is 15/2 in the last goalscorer market and this demonstrates good value. Milan are 7/4 to earn bragging rights and a huge victory.
Meanwhile, the outlook appears far more promising for Inter after a period of difficulty. The Nerazzurri stumbled over the line against relegation fodder Benevento, but dismantled Sampdoria and Verona to give themselves a timely boost.
Icardi has six goals from his last two appearances, and is almost single-handedly dragging Inter back to Europe’s elite competition after a six-year absence. The striker is predictably the 10/3 favourite to get the crucial first goal. The Nerazzurri are 13/8 to make use of their game in hand and temporarily move in to third spot ahead of Roma.
One to watch for Milan: Suso has added consistency to his game this season and will see plenty of the ball. Capable from the flank or centrally, the Spaniard is 11/4 in the anytime betting market.
One to watch for Inter: Ivan Perisic has been an able deputy for Icardi and has a credible nine strikes to his name. The two-footed winger is 21/10 in the same market.
Long shot: The formbook goes out the window on Derby day and the stakes could not be higher. Given their respective placements in the table, the onus is on Milan to take the game to Inter and this should lead to a pulsating clash. A reverse of the 3-2 outcome in October is 131/4.
