Milan vs. Juventus Predictions and Preview
This is a clash between two sides whose recent league form has been impressive.
The visitors Juventus have dropped just two points in their opening 11 league fixtures as they appear to be on course for an eighth consecutive title.
Max Allegri’s side are arguably the strongest team in Europe right now and he will face his former club hoping to build on his side’s recent run of five consecutive victories in the fixture.
Milan sit 10 points further back in the standings and whilst they are unlikely to mount a title challenge this season, form has improved in recent times.
The Rossoneri have won five of their last six outings in Serie A having tasted victory just once in their opening five league games this campaign.
It is not surprising that it is the away side who are favourites to win this encounter at odds of 5/6, with Milan priced at 16/5 and the draw available at 13/5.
These fixtures tend to produce few goals with only 29 going in across the last 13 meetings, so under 1.5 goals at 5/2 appears to be a solid bet with under 2.5 at 17/20.
A ‘double chance’ on Milan to come away with either a draw or a win is available at 21/20 while a Juve win/draw outcome is at 1/4.
If you fancy the away side to be leading at both half-time and at the final whistle, such odds are available at 21/10.
One to watch for Milan: Gonzalo Higuain has netted 116 Serie A goals since joining Napoli in 2013, and is now at Milan – six goals this season– following a spell at Sunday’s opponents. Odds of him to make it goal number seven here are at 23/10.
One to watch for Juventus: Cristiano Ronaldo already has seven league goals for the season including four in his last four games. The Portuguese superstar and is available at 5/4 to find the net here.
Long shot: Juventus have already kept nine clean sheets this season while for Milan, they came within sixty seconds of holding rivals Inter to a 0-0 last month. Odds of this game to finish scoreless are available at 9/1.
