Milan v Red Star Predictions and Preview
The first leg of this Europa League round-of-32 tie had it all. An own goal, two penalties and a sending off all preceded Red Star Belgrade’s 93rd-minute equaliser, with Milan holding the advantage coming into the return thanks to their two away goals.
The Rossoneri suffered another painful defeat back in Serie A at the weekend though. AC fell to a humbling 3-0 defeat at home to Inter in the Milan derby, a result which leaves them four points behind their local rivals in the race for the Scudetto.
Stefano Pioli’s side are looking to regain some confidence in the Europa League to reignite their title challenge. Milan have lost three of their last five league games, but a convincing win here would be a huge boost ahead their trip to third-placed Roma on Sunday.

Milan to win to nil
Milan to win 1-0
Ibrahimovic to score first
Milan beat Red Star over two legs the last time these clubs met, which was in qualifying for the Champions League back in 2006. Il Diavolo are 2/5 with William Hill to repeat that knockout victory by winning this game inside 90 minutes.
The away team are 37/5 in this Milan v Red Star preview, marking them out as the clear underdogs. Belgrade are flying high at the top of the Serbian Super Liga at present though, following a run of 10 straight victories either side of their winter break.
The Star are unbeaten in 19 matches since losing 2-0 away to Hoffenheim in their opening fixture of the Europa League group stages, winning 15 of those games. Managed by former Inter Milan player Dejan Stankovic, the visitors ought to have plenty of confidence thanks to the respective form of each team.
However, Milan operate on a higher level than the majority, if not all, of the other teams Red Star have played this season. They may be out of form and missing Mario Mandzukic through injury, but even a draw at 4/1 would be considered a shock for the Rossoneri. That could be enough to take them through to the last 16 though, with Milan 2/13 to qualify by any method and Red Star 5/1 in the same market.
One to watch for Milan: Zlatan Ibrahimovic won the Europa League for the first time with Manchester United in 2017. The Swedish veteran is still going strong but is without a goal in his last three games. Ibra is 23/10 to put that right by netting the opener on Thursday night.
One to watch for Red Star: Comoros forward El Fardou Ben Nabouhane is having a decent season in front of goal, with half of his 10 strikes for the campaign coming in Europe. He is available at 12/1 to upset the odds by breaking the deadlock in these Milan v Red Star predictions.
Long shot: Milan are struggling for form right now and have failed to score in each of their last two Serie A fixtures. A narrow 1-0 win for the Rossoneri in this game is priced at 7/1, rising to 26/1 if you include Ibrahimovic as the goalscorer.
