Milan vs. Udinese Predictions and Preview

After a fine start to 2019, Milan have suffered a blip in recent weeks. Boss Gennaro Gattuso shouldn’t have too much cause for concern, though, as the sides in and around the Rossoneri continue to regularly drop points.

Inter currently hold third, but it is only a matter of time before the Nerazzurri drop out of the much cherished Champions League places. Luciano Spalletti’s inconsistent group lost 1-0 to Lazio and there is still no indication when Mauro Icardi will rejoin the squad and take to the field.

Milan sit in fourth, in direct competition with the Rome clubs and Atalanta as the season nears its conclusion. For the visit of Udinese, the hosts are the overwhelming favourites to get back to winning ways and available at 1/2.

Meanwhile, hotshot Krzysztof Piatek will have one eye on the top scorer standings with Fabio Quagliarella currently two goals clear in the race for the golden boot. Piatek is 12/5 to score first and 3/1 to bag two or more. The Rossoneri are 13/8 to strike in both halves of action.

Opposition Udinese earned a priceless victory in their last match. The Zebrette toppled Genoa 2-0 in a result which pulled them out of the bottom three. Igor Tudor’s side are three points above the drop line and realistically need three, possibly four more victories to retain their top flight status for another campaign. The visitors are 6/1 to emerge triumphant and 3/1 to earn a share of the spoils.

Latest Form

One to watch for Milan: Patrick Cutrone has seen his game time limited following Piatek’s arrival but remains a real talent. The Italy youngster is 6/1 to register the final effort of the encounter.

One to watch for Udinese: Rodrigo de Paul has 11 goal involvements to his name this year and is the Zebrette’s standout player. The Argentine is 11/4 in the anytime scorer market.

Long shot: Gattuso tends to adopt a more attack minded line-up against the so called lesser sides in the division and Milan really should have too much for Udinese on the night. A 4-1 success is 25/1 and would see the Rossoneri leapfrog Inter in the table.
