Netherlands v Poland Predictions and Preview
The hosts’ preparations for the Nations League double header with Poland and Italy has taken a huge setback following Koeman’s exit. The Dutchman has made no secret of his desire to coach the Blaugrana and was popular with the players.
Koeman moulded a talented squad with Virgil van Dijk, Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt the standout performers. The trio are ably joined by Memphis Depay, Donny van de Beek, Daley Blind and Stefan de Vrij and the Oranje are primed for a good period on the international stage after a significant rebuilding process.

|Netherlands to win 2-0||25/4||Offer|
|Draw and both teams to score||9/2||Offer|
|Van Dijk to score anytime||18/1||Offer|
Lodeweges is likely to go with Depay as the lone forward with Steven Bergwijn, Wijnaldum and Van de Beek in support. The Lyon skipper endured a poor spell with Manchester United but is nearing 50 efforts in Ligue 1 and hit a hat-trick in Les Gones’ opening fixture of the new campaign.
Depay’s stellar showings in France have reportedly attracted the attention of Borussia Dortmund and PSG and the versatile attacker deserves credit for turning his career around. The 26-year-old is 4/1 favourite to open proceedings and compatriot Van de Beek is 12/1 in the same betting.
The Ajax academy graduate is on the verge of signing for Manchester United and will provide healthy competition for Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Nemanja Matic in midfield. The Netherlands are 8/15 to clinch the three points and a draw is 3/1.
Visitors Poland are without captain and talisman Robert Lewandowski. The Bayern Munich hotshot has been rested following Bayern Munich’s travails in the Champions League and will be replaced by Arek Milik.
The Napoli target man continues to be linked to Juventus and Roma and is 21/2 to break the deadlock. Second top scorer in the squad Kamil Grosicki is 23/4 to net anytime and The Eagles are 5/1 to scoop the win.
One to watch for Netherlands: Wijnaldum was prolific during the EURO 2020 qualifiers and has more licence to get forward than at club level. The Liverpool favourite is 15/2 to score first.
One to watch for Poland: Krzysztof Piatek averages one in two for his country and will share striking responsibilities with Milik over the double header. The Hertha Berlin hitman is 12/1 to bag the final effort.
Long shot: Poland are without arguably the finest number 9 in world football, but face a Netherlands team adjusting to a post-Koeman era. The Eagles only conceded five goals in qualifying for next summer’s European Championship and it could be a frustrating 90 minutes for the Oranje. A 0-0 outcome is 11/1.
