Last time: Despite finishing bottom and only accumulating 19 points all year, the Gialloblu pulled off a shock win against Juventus, winning 1-0 in May 2015. Jose Mauri got the only goal in a contest against a much changed Bianconeri side. Giorgio Chiellini is the only survivor from the eleven that started.
Parma v Juventus Predictions and Preview
Parma have started life tentatively back in Italy’s top flight, earning an opening day draw before falling to SPAL in their following fixture. Despite the lack of points on the board, it could have been very different for the Gialloblu who were left to rue their inability to close out the clash with Udinese. The Zebretti recovered from a two goal deficit to claim a share of the spoils after Roberto Inglese and Antonino Barilla had given Parma a dream advantage.
The objective is clear for the popular club based in Emilia-Romagna and that is to achieve survival. With difficult games against Inter and Napoli coming up, anything from the meeting with Juventus is a bonus and the odds reflect the daunting prospect awaiting Roberto D’Aversa’s men. Parma are 20/1 to stun the title holders and claim all three points.

The travelling party have predictably picked up from where they left off last term, recording back to back victories against Chievo and Lazio. With their blockbuster signing Cristiano Ronaldo leading the line, the Bianconeri are the overwhelming favourites for the duel at 1/6 and 8/13 to win to nil.
Ronaldo has yet to hit the back of the net for his new side but is still the obvious name to open the scoring. The Portuguese legend is 9/5 to strike first and 6/1 to bag himself a hat-trick. Meanwhile, team-mate Mario Mandzukic, who scored against the Biancocelesti, is 3/5 in the anytime market and the Bianconeri are 10/11 to register in both halves of action.
One to watch for Parma: Inglese. The Napoli owned forward is already off the mark and a similar return to last year’s haul of 12 with Chievo could prove the difference between safety and survival for the Gialloblu. Inglese is 18/1 to score first.
One to watch for Juventus: Douglas Costa. The Brazilian speedster was a surprise exclusion for the visit of Lazio but should regain his place in the starting line-up. Costa is 2/1 to strike anytime.
Long shot: Juventus were given a scare against Chievo and eventually saw off Lazio and much like Ronaldo, have yet to fully click in to top gear. The Bianconeri are likely to face an incredibly defensive Parma side with a bank of five across the backline and four workers in midfield. If the champions can get an early goal, this should set up a dominant triumph and a 4-0 result is 10/1.
