Real Madrid v Eibar Predictions and Preview
Defending La Liga champions Real Madrid are looking for their fifth straight victory over Eibar this weekend. Los Blancos have scored 12 goals in these previous four wins, conceding three at the other end. Zinedine Zidane’s side will start as the clear favourites in the betting for this weekend’s encounter.
Madrid are 3/10 for the win with William Hill, which would see them move within three points of Atletico and leapfrog Barcelona, who are in action on Sunday and Monday respectively. Real put together a three-match winning run prior to the international break, while they’re unbeaten in eight in the league, winning six.
Los Blancos have put their early season struggles behind them in only losing one of their last 18 La Liga fixtures. However, Zidane and his players may have one eye on their Champions League quarter-final date with Liverpool just three days after this match.

Real Madrid to win and BTTS
Real Madrid to win 3-1
Benzema to score first
The potential for that to prove a distraction would appear to be one of the few glimmers of hope for Eibar coming into this game. Los Armeros return to action in the relegation zone, although they’re only two points from safety.
There seems little chance of Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side closing that gap this weekend though, with the visitors priced at 10/1 in this Real Madrid v Eibar prediction. Even the draw looks highly improbable at 5/1.
Eibar have only ever avoided defeat in one of their six away games against Real, since they were promoted to La Liga for the first time in 2014. Even that was nearly five years ago, courtesy of a 1-1 draw in 2016.
Madrid have won 11 of their 13 meetings over the last seven seasons, with Eibar’s sole victory coming via an excellent 3-0 triumph at Ipurua in November 2018. A repeat of that upset would be catastrophic for Los Blancos.
Eden Hazard won’t be available for the hosts as he continues to recover from yet another injury setback. Sergio Ramos is also a doubt with a niggle, along with Toni Kroos and Federico Valverde. The visitors are set to be without Yoshinori Muto and Jose Angel, while Pedro Bigas, Roberto Correa and Eduardo Exposito are further doubts.
One to watch for Real Madrid: Karim Benzema remains in the hunt for the Pichichi, having contributed 17 goals and six assists in his 24 La Liga appearances to date. The Frenchman should be fresh after a rest during the international break, and is the 27/10 favourite to show that by opening the scoring on Saturday.
One to watch for Eibar: Kike is Eibar’s top scorer with eight goals in 27 league games so far this term. The Spanish forward netted a crucial equaliser against Athletic Club just before the break, and is 24/5 to score another potentially important goal in the anytime scorer market here.
Long shot: The aggregate score over the last four meetings between these clubs is 12-3 to Madrid. Los Blancos beat Los Armeros 3-1 earlier this season, with the same outcome this weekend priced at 21/2. If you’re after big odds in these Real Madrid v Eibar, add Benzema as the first scorer for 41/1.
