Real Madrid vs. Leganes Predictions and Preview
Real Madrid have undergone a turbulent campaign so far but suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss at Real Mallorca in their last league game.
That was their first domestic defeat of the campaign but they have once again underwhelmed with their performances this season and constantly look like they may drop yet more points.
Leganes parted company with boss Mauricio Pellegrino after failing to win any of their opening nine league matches, but subsequently defeated Real Mallorca 1-0 at Butarque on Saturday, but remain at the foot of the table.
The hosts are unsurprisingly favourites for this encounter at odds of 1/4 with a Leganes victory priced at 12/1 and the draw available at 24/5.
These games tend to produce relatively few goals with just three in the past two meetings so under 2.5 goals at 6/4 appears to be a solid bet with under 1.5 at 22/5.
A ‘double chance’ on Leganes to come away with either a draw or a win is available at 29/10 while a Madrid win/draw outcome is at 1/40.
If you fancy the home side to be leading at both half-time and at the final whistle, such odds are available at 7/10.
One to watch for Real Madrid: Karim Benzema netted a highly credible 30 goals last campaign for Madrid and already has six from eight in the league this time out. Is priced at 8/11 to find the net in this game.
One to watch for Leganes: Denmark international Martin Braithwaite is Lega’s top La Liga scorer this year with three goals to his name and he has scored each of his side’s last two goals. Is at a tempting 4/1 to continue that form here.
Long shot: Madrid have kept three La Liga clean sheets in their last five, while Leganes have only scored five goals in 10 appearances but kept a clean sheet last time out. Odds of this game to finish scoreless are at 18/1.
