Roma v Inter Predictions and Preview
This clash between second and third in Serie A sees Roma take on Inter Milan this Sunday. The home team go into this game just three points behind their visitors following Wednesday’s results, enabling the Giallorossi to draw level with Antonio Conte’s side should they taste victory at the Stadio Olimpico.
To do so, Roma will have to end the run of five straight draws in this fixture. All of those games have been in Serie A, with the last time one of these teams beat the other coming back in August 2017, when Inter won 3-1 in the capital. Roma won two in a row before that, with that pair of fixtures preceded by another draw.
Eight of the last nine meetings between these clubs have seen both teams score, with a repeat of that here priced at 1/2 with William Hill. Five of those six most recent stalemates have been score draws, with another one this weekend 16/5 in your Roma v Inter predictions.

Lukaku to score first
If you’re more interested in the outright odds, Roma are the slight underdogs at 2/1. The hosts will certainly fancy their chances of beating Inter though, after the Nerazzurri lost 2-1 to Sampdoria on Wednesday night. Their second defeat of the season, Roma were busy beating Crotone 3-1 at the same time as that.
La Lupa may not have the strength in depth to truly challenge for the scudetto this season, but they have what it takes to be in the mix as we head towards the second half the campaign. They certainly have the capacity to beat Inter here, even if the visitors are the 6/4 favourites for the win.
The Nerazzurri did brilliantly to reel in local rivals Milan at the top of the table, but need to keep winning in the face of what looks like being the closest title race in years. Juventus will surely come on strong towards the business end of the season, with neither team wanting to lose this game. With that in mind, a draw could be worth a look at 27/10.
One to watch for Roma: Borja Mayoral netted a first-half brace against Crotone in midweek. That should fill the Spanish forward with confidence, and he is 5/1 to open the scoring once again in this Roma v Inter preview.
One to watch for Inter: Romelu Lukaku couldn’t stop his team losing to Sampdoria after coming on as a second-half substitute. The Belgian will be keen to make a difference from the start here and is 15/4 to break the deadlock.
