Roma v Lazio Predictions and Preview
After a difficult month, Roma got back to winning ways against Frosinone. The 4-0 victory was the perfect response to the intense media scrutiny aimed at Eusebio Di Francesco. The under-fire tactician has struggled to settle on a first-choice eleven and the growing links to Paulo Sousa continue to gather pace.
Di Francesco surprisingly dropped star forward Edin Dzeko for the visit of the newcomers, opting to give Patrik Schick a chance to lead the line but the elegant Czech failed to find the back of the net. Dzeko is expected to regain his place and has a good scoring record against Saturday’s opponents. The Bosnian is consequently 15/4 to strike first white Roma are 11/8 to pick up three points and city bragging rights.

|Both teams to score||10/21||Offer|
Other worthy mentions include Javier Pastore and Under. The former-PSG playmaker has adopted a new position in Rome, playing in a deeper role and offering some much needed guile after Radja Nainggolan’s move to Inter. Pastore has two goals from five league appearances and has been one of the better signings to enter the club in the summer. The Argentine is 10/3 to register anytime.
Lazio, in contrast, come in to the duel off the back of five triumphs in all competitions. Pleasingly for boss Simone Inzaghi, it isn’t just marksman Ciro Immobile hitting the net with Luis Alberto, Felipe Caicedo and in-demand Sergej Milinkovic-Savic all chipping in. Immobile is the 10/3 favourite to break the deadlock and get his fifth of the term while Lazio are 19/10 to chalk up a memorable success.
One to watch for Roma: Stephan El Shaarawy. The Italian was expected to be the fall guy after Monchi’s squad overhaul but has fought back to earn a starting role. The ex-Milan man is 2/1 in the anytime market.
One to watch for Lazio: Joaquín Correa. The summer recruit from Sevilla got off the mark for his new club in the triumph at Udinese and is 10/1 to score last.
Long shot: Lazio struck an astonishing 89 league goals last year, more than any club in the division, but also shipped 49 efforts. This theme is expected to continue in the 2018-19 term and a Biancocelesti win / over 3.5 match goals double is available at 6/1.
