Football Italia’s Susy Campanale takes you through the best Serie A bets of the week…

For more than 20 years, Susy Campanale has been at the forefront of Italian football coverage for Football Italia. With a unique level of experience and expertise covering Serie A, Susy casts an expert eye across the latest round of action, exclusively with Eurotips.

A theme is emerging as I glance down the fixture list for this opening weekend of 2021 and it takes the form of a rippling net. Serie A has not let us down when it comes to goals this season and I see more to come following a brief Christmas break, shorter than most Italian clubs are accustomed to.

All the Week 15 matches are on Sunday and there’s something about this many games being played together that really sparks something in the entertainment factor. I’ve gone for Over 3.5 Goals in three different fixtures in Bergamo, Rome and Spezia, while the accumulator is focused on a slightly different approach, that of lacking clean sheets. Hopefully we can begin the New Year with some Calcio fireworks and pick up where we left off last time, with seven out of eight tips coming in.

Don’t forget to check out the Serie A Week 15 accumulator below!

How did I do last week?

Milan vs. Lazio: Over 3.5 goals at 17/10 ✓

Bologna vs. Atalanta: Over 3.5 goals at 5/4 ✓

Sampdoria vs. Sassuolo: Sampdoria to win at 13/8 ×

Serie A Week 14 accumulator at 13.86/1

All about attack

Atalanta vs. Sassuolo – Sunday January 3, Gewiss Stadium, Kick-off: 2.00pm

Watch live on Premier Sports/Streaming

Atalanta and Sassuolo are traditionally some of the most entertaining teams in Serie A and both love to go on the attack, first and foremost. This should lead to goals, and although the prices on offer do reflect those reputations, they are still pretty reliable, especially now Francesco Caputo is back to full fitness.

Best bet for Atalanta vs. Sassuolo: Over 3.5 Goals at 23/20 on Bet Victor

Giallorossi curse

Roma vs. Sampdoria – Sunday January 3, Stadio Olimpico, Kick-off: 2.00pm

Watch live on Premier Sports/Streaming

The temptation here is to bet on Roma to Win and Both Teams to Score, which is available at 29/20, but there are two concerns. The first is that the Giallorossi have a notoriously bad record against Sampdoria, the second is Leonardo Spinazzola’s injury, which fundamentally weakens the team. So we should keep a potential upset on side and go for Over 3.5 Goals.

Best bet for Roma vs. Sampdoria: Over 3.5 Goals at 11/10 with Bet Victor

Spectacular Spezia

Spezia vs. Verona – Sunday January 3, Stadio Alberto Picco, Kick-off: 2.00pm

Watch live on Premier Sports/Streaming

Verona desperately need a striker, any striker, to make the constant pressure and scoring opportunities pay off for them. However, even they will probably get at least one against a Spezia side that have embraced Serie A football with passion, determination and a complete inability to defend. This has 2-2 written all over it.

Best bet for Spezia vs. Verona: Over 3.5 Goals at 23/10 with 888 Sport
