Serie A tips of the week: Champions League and relegation intersect

Lazio Milan Eurotips New

Football Italia’s Susy Campanale takes you through the best Serie A tips of the week…

For more than 20 years, Susy Campanale has been at the forefront of Italian football coverage for Football Italia. With a unique level of experience and expertise covering Serie A, Susy casts an expert eye across the latest round of action and picks out the best Serie A tips of the week, exclusively with Eurotips.

This is where the fight for the Champions League places and battle to avoid relegation begin to intersect, which could provide some fascinating and unexpected results.

Lazio and Milan go head-to-head for a top four spot, but elsewhere we have Juventus visiting their old rivals Fiorentina, Roma up against a revitalised Cagliari and Napoli away to fighters Torino.

It’s a mystery how Atalanta managed to convert just one of their numerous chances against Roma in a midweek draw, but they’re bound to take it out on poor Bologna come Monday night. Yet the game that most intrigues me is Genoa vs. Spezia, two teams too good to go down and who’ll try to score their way out of trouble.

Don’t forget to check out the Serie A Week 33 accumulator below!

Capital corker

Lazio vs. Milan – Monday April 26, Stadio Olimpico, Kick-off: 7.45pm

Milan are clinging on to second place for dear life, but have the toughest run-in, starting with this trip to a Lazio side in sixth. The bet has to be Overs, as neither of these teams can defend very well, while Lazio’s last two matches provided a total 15 goals. With so much at stake, there’s the possibility for nerves to set in, so I’m hesitant to go all out for Over 3.5.

Best bet for Lazio vs. Milan: Over 2.5 Goals at 4/6 with William Hill

Cagliari vs. Roma is one of the fixtures picked out by Susy Campanale in this week's Serie A tips.
Cagliari vs. Roma, Serie A

Cagliari comeback

Cagliari vs. Roma – Sunday April 25, Sardegna Arena, Kick-off: 5.00pm

The Sardinians are mounting a late surge up the standings to leave that final relegation spot in doubt to the end. Parma and Crotone are already doomed, let’s be honest. Roma are out of the race for the top four and must focus their energy on the Europa League semi-final. My one concern with Cagliari is that Radja Nainggolan is suspended against his old club, and the Giallorossi seem able to grind out results while being awful, but motivation should be the victor here.

Best bet for Cagliari vs. Roma: Cagliari to win at 8/5 with BetVictor

Quality dogfight

Genoa vs. Spezia – Saturday April 24, Stadio Ferraris, Kick-off: 2.00pm

Watch live on Premier Sports/Streaming

We’re into the final weeks of the season and both these teams are still at risk of relegation, even though they are patently too good to go down. The reason is they believe attack is the best form of defence, which makes them very entertaining and a little crazy. Seeing them go head-to-head ought to be a treat.

Best bet for Genoa vs. Spezia: Over 3.5 Goals at 9/4 on 888 Sport

Serie A Week 33 accumulator
