Football Italia’s Susy Campanale takes you through the best Serie A bets of the week…
For more than 20 years, Susy Campanale has been at the forefront of Italian football coverage for Football Italia. With a unique level of experience and expertise covering Serie A, Susy casts an expert eye across the latest round of action, exclusively with Eurotips.
Week 7 really bucked the recent trend of results and it was largely down to teams running out of steam in a packed fixture list. This is the first round following international duty and ahead of the Champions League, which means the sides with the most players travelling around the globe – looking at you, Atalanta – are going to be stretched thin and distracted. Roma are still missing Edin Dzeko, but Ciro Immobile returns for Lazio, while Napoli and Milan go head-to-head at the top of the table without injured Victor Osimhen and Rafael Leao. Fiorentina are under new management, so expect a Cesare Prandelli boost against Benevento.

Prolific Joao Pedro
Juventus vs. Cagliari – Saturday November 21, Allianz Juventus Stadium, Kick-off: 7.45pm
Watch live on Premier Sports/Streaming
Cagliari are on impressive form and very rarely fail to find the back of the net. Juventus are missing Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, so rush Matthijs de Ligt back from shoulder surgery for his first game of the season with Merih Demiral and Danilo. Joao Pedro has scored in each of his last five games. The Brazilian shouldn’t be 14/5 to score anytime when he’s in this shape and against such a new back three. My other pick for this match might well be X2 Double Chance.
Best bet for Juventus vs. Cagliari: Joao Pedro to score anytime at 14/5 on 888 Sport
Surprise for Atalanta
Spezia vs. Atalanta – Saturday November 21, Gewiss Stadium, Kick-off: 5.00pm
Watch live on Premier Sports/Streaming
Nobody suffers more than Atalanta after breaks for international duty and they lost Ruslan Malinovskyi to COVID-19, adding to the usual globe-trotting fatigue of their South American contingent. There’s a Champions League trip to Anfield coming up and Spezia are going to be brimming with confidence after their 3-0 victory at Benevento. I wouldn’t advise against betting on a Spezia victory, but a double chance gives a little more insurance.
Best bet for Spezia vs. Atalanta: Double Chance Spezia/Draw at 19/10 with Bet Victor
Prandelli power
Fiorentina vs. Benevento – Sunday November 22, Stadio Franchi, Kick-off: 11.30am
Watch live on Premier Sports/Streaming
Beppe Iachini’s sacking was no surprise to anyone and Cesare Prandelli makes his return to the Viola bench. Their biggest problem has been a lack of flair, goals and entertainment, so a new coach bump and change of tactics should shake things up. They’re up against a Benevento side that leak goals and need a revival of their own, plus it’s the early Sunday kick-off, which for some reason always seems to be prolific.
Best bet for Fiorentina vs. Benevento: Over 3.5 Goals at 5/4 with 888 Sport
Serie A Week 8 accumulator
Verona vs. Sassuolo Over 3.5 Goals
Sampdoria vs. Bologna Over 3.5 Goals
Spezia vs. Atalanta both teams to score
Juventus vs. Cagliari both teams to score
Combined odds: 14.4/1 at William Hill
