Serie A tips of the week: Milan out of steam, another Napoli upset

There are only nine games to bet on this weekend, as Torino vs. Sassuolo is postponed due to a COVID outbreak in the Granata camp. That still leaves plenty of interesting fixtures for Serie A punters to peruse, including leaders Inter against a rugged Genoa side who are more than capable of causing an upset, Juventus visiting Hellas Verona and a Roma-Milan battle for the top four.

A tempting prospect is in the relegation zone, where Cagliari debut under new coach Leonardo Semplici against rock bottom Crotone, and Benevento are certainly contenders to surprise a Napoli side down to the bare bones.

Milan running on empty

Roma vs. Milan – Sunday February 28, Stadio Olimpico, Kick-off: 7.45pm

Watch live on Premier Sports/Streaming

The Rossoneri have already lost more games in 2021 than throughout all of 2020 and barely scraped through against 10-man Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday. They are running out of steam, enthusiasm and confidence at an alarming rate. Having said that, Roma are missing most of their defenders and Edin Dzeko, which should even it out a bit in terms of goals. Roma are far too big at 7/5 to win at home and end their curse of failing to beat the big clubs, because Milan are running on empty.

Best bet for Roma vs. Milan: Roma to win at 7/5 with William Hill

Not easy for Inter

Inter vs. Genoa – Sunday February 28, Stadio Meazza, Kick-off: 2.00pm

Watch live on Premier Sports/Streaming

It’s Inter’s title to lose now, but that is precisely why they are nicknamed Pazza Inter (Crazy Inter). Laying the Nerazzurri in this fixture might be a bit much, but tipping both teams to score seems just about right for a Genoa side that have been astonishing since Davide Ballardini took over. Plus Antonio Conte tends to struggle against teams with three-man defences and Achraf Hakimi is suspended.

Best bet for Inter vs. Genoa: Both Teams to Score at 6/5 on 888 Sport

Napoli crumbling

Napoli vs. Benevento – Sunday February 28, Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Kick-off: 5.00pm

Watch live on Premier Sports/Streaming

Gennaro Gattuso’s men might have enough to scrape a win, and Benevento are missing suspended Kamil Glik, but 2/1 odds on a double chance are simply too good to ignore. It’s hard to overstate just how bad Napoli’s injury crisis really is and playing Granada in the Europa League on Thursday only intensified that fatigue. Benevento are a counter-attacking side and struggle to score goals, but are very hard to break down. Add that this is a local derby and a battle of the Insigne Brothers, it’s a recipe for an upset.

Best bet for Napoli vs. Benevento: Double Chance Draw/Benevento at 2/1 with Bet Victor
