Barcelona are back in action on Friday night, as the Catalan giants continue their title quest with a trip to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to face Sevilla. The Blaugrana have dominated Los Nervionenses over the last two seasons with some big scores, and could use the same again here.

Sevilla v Barcelona Predictions and Preview
Barcelona have smashed in 14 goals in winning each of their last three games against Sevilla in all competitions. The Catalans have won 13 of the last 15 meetings between the clubs, losing only once. Even that was a first-leg defeat in the Copa del Rey, with Barca avenging a 2-0 defeat by thrashing Sevilla 6-1 in the return.
Barcelona have won both of their matches since the restart, scoring six goals and keeping two clean sheets. They’re looking nice and sharp, while star man Messi has taken his tally to 21 La Liga goals in 24 games by scoring in both matches.

Barcelona to win to nil
Barcelona to win 4-0
Messi to score first
Sevilla meanwhile have won one and drawn the other since the break. That’s taken Julen Lopetegui’s side to eight games unbeaten in all competitions, although they’ve only actually won three of those fixtures.
Despite that, the hosts are in prime position to finish in the top four this season, currently third heading into the weekend’s action and very much in the reckoning to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
However, Los Palanganas trail some 13 points behind their visitors this weekend. Barcelona are gunning for their third straight La Liga crown, and with arch rivals Real Madrid hot on their heels, they’re desperate for a win here.
Considering how good Barcelona’s record against Sevilla is, and the fact that an empty Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan takes away the home advantage Lopetegui’s team would otherwise have enjoyed, a victory for the league leaders looks very much on the cards here.
Barca are the odds-on favourites for the win, but Sevilla’s lofty league position means the odds aren’t overwhelmingly in their favour. The away team are good value at just under even money, priced at 15/16 for the win. Sevilla meanwhile are 10/3, while the draw’s priced at 14/5.
One to watch for Sevilla: Lucas Ocampos is Sevilla’s top scorer this season with 11 league goals to his name so far. He netted the opener from the penalty spot on his team’s return to action at home to Real Betis last weekend, and is 10/1 to break the deadlock once again here.
One to watch for Barcelona: Lionel Messi has scored seven goals in his last five games in the league, while his penalty against Leganes on Tuesday took him to 699 career goals. The Argentine is the favourite to open the scoring in this game at 3/1.
Long shot: Barcelona have been utterly dominant over Sevilla in recent seasons, winning six of the last seven meetings between the clubs and scoring 25 goals in the process, at an average of 4.2 per game. The visitors scored four in their last away game against Mallorca and are 35/1 to win this match 4-0. With Messi scoring first, those odds rise to 139/1.
