Torino v Juventus Predictions and Preview
The Granata are 17th, and, crucially, have a game in hand over Cagliari, Parma and Crotone who currently occupy the relegation zone. Davide Nicola was appointed as Marco Giampaolo’s successor in mid-January and his remit is very similar to last year.
The tactician kept Genoa in the top flight and collected four draws and one victory in his first five games in the Torino dugout. The home squad have since lost three of the last four but have a favourable run against Spezia, Bologna, Benevento and the Gialloblu coming up and have the firepower to pull away from the bottom three.

Andrea Belotti has enjoyed a good campaign and is likely to move on in the summer. The striker has been linked to Milan, Inter, Roma and Napoli, and understandably wants to be fighting for honours and not survival. The Italian has scored 11 and assisted a further five and is 11/2 to break the deadlock.
Belotti will be joined in attack by Antonio Sanabria. The Paraguayan has linked up with Nicola for a second time after featuring for Genoa between 2018-20 and is 7/2 to register anytime. Toro are 6/1 to emerge triumphant and a share of the spoils is 18/5.
Federico Chiesa and Dejan Kulusevski are the only Juventus forwards guaranteed to be at the club in August. Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly determined to go back to Real Madrid, while the Bianconeri are still unsure about extending Alvaro Morata’s loan. Paulo Dybala was offered a new contract but is almost certain to depart Turin with Chelsea and Barcelona keeping a watchful eye on the Argentine.
For all the criticism surrounding his Champions League performances this term, Ronaldo is the top scorer in Italy. The Portugal skipper is four clear of closest challenger Romelu Lukaku and is 9/4 to open proceedings.
Morata is available at 7/2 and will have no shortage of suitors if his spell is cut short. The ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid man has 22 goal contributions to his name from 30 appearances. Chiesa is 11/8 to bag anytime and Juventus are 9/20 to get the win.
One to watch for Torino: Rolando Mandragora is owned by the champions and was in Roberto Mancini’s latest party for the international triple header. The Neapolitan is 12/1 to notch anytime.
One to watch for Juventus: Kulusevski has featured in a variety of roles and is 13/2 to strike last. The young recruit from Atalanta has taken longer to settle than colleague Chiesa but is tipped to shine next season.
Long shot: Torino, much like Fiorentina, have underperformed. The Granata have international players in each department and should be fighting for a top-10 berth. Nevertheless, the form book goes out the window on derby day and Nicola’s troops are 50/1 to seal a 2-0 success.
