Udinese gear up for the visit of Inter still not assured of their top flight status for the 2019-20 campaign. The Zebrette sit four points above the drop line and have failed to win any of their last four matches. Udinese vs. Inter Predictions and Preview
Hosts Udinese could have already been consigned to the drop were it not for the exploits of Rodrigo De Paul. The midfielder has 13 goal contributions to his name and has long been linked to this weekend’s opponents.
De Paul is comfortably enjoying the best club season of his career and once more, much will depend on how the talismanic figure performs on the night. De Paul is 7/2 to net anytime while the home squad are 4/1 to claim a priceless victory and 11/4 to pick up a point.
Inter have a four-point cushion ahead of Roma in fourth place and need a maximum three wins from their final four fixtures to secure their participation in next term’s Champions League. The Nerazzurri are unbeaten in their last five and can be pleased with their showing against Juventus in the previous gameweek.
Radja Nainggolan gave the Milan giants the lead until Cristiano Ronaldo replied and Luciano Spalletti’s side were unlucky not to clinch all three points late on.
Inter have two of the bottom three still to face and should have enough to stave off the late threat of the growing chasing pack. Former skipper Mauro Icardi got the nod ahead of compatriot Lautaro Martinez in the blockbuster clash and is the odds on favourite to open the scoring.
One to watch for Udinese: Kevin Lasagna is second to De Paul in the goalscorer standings for the Zebrette and is 14/2 to bag the final effort of the contest.
One to watch for Inter: Nainggolan gave a reminder of his talent in the duel with Juventus and will have licence to support Icardi from the number 10 position. The Belgian is 10/2 to hit the back of the net anytime during the 90 minutes.
Long shot: Udinese have only shipped one more goal than Roma, but it has been going forward where the Zebrette have struggled. If Inter get an early goal, it could be a comfortable night for Icardi and co. A 4-0 success for the travelling party is 28/1.
