It’s the final round of Serie A fixtures this weekend, giving you one last chance to make some money on this season’s Italian top flight. There’s a lot to play for at both ends of the table, meaning plenty of players will be going all out to hit the back of the net over Saturday and Sunday. So, who’s going to be successful in the anytime goalscorer odds in Serie A this weekend?
Starting with the champions, Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is always well worth a look in the anytime scorer market. The Portuguese superstar has 21 goals in his debut Serie A campaign, and is 19/20 to see the net ripple against Sampdoria on Sunday, who he scored both goals against in the Old Lady’s 2-1 victory at the Allianz Stadium in December.
Ronaldo’s tally isn’t enough to see him finish as the Serie A top scorer though. That honour’s going to his opponent this weekend, Fabio Quagliarella. The veteran has smashed in 26 goals this term, and is 23/20 to make it 27 or more on the final day of the season.
Third-placed Atalanta have a home game against Sassuolo this weekend as La Dea bid to cap a wonderful campaign with a win that guarantees them a place in next season’s Champions League. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side thrashed the Neroverdi 6-2 away earlier this term, with Duvan Zapata opening the scoring.
Zapata is joint second in the Serie A scoring charts with 22 goals and is 8/13 to score against Sassuolo once again this weekend. Josip Ilicic meanwhile is 6/5, after the Slovenia international helped himself to a hat-trick in the first meeting between the sides despite only playing for half an hour.
Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek is the man who’s tied for second on 22 goals, with the Rossoneri away to SPAL on Sunday evening. Gennaro Gattuso’s side need to win themselves and hope local rivals Inter slip up at home to Empoli, if they’re going to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.
Piatek was on target for Genoa when they played the Biancazzurri back in December, and the Pole is 11/10 to repeat the trick for his new club this weekend. Genoa meanwhile have unsurprisingly struggled for goals since their star striker departed in January, and they start this weekend in the relegation zone.
With Empoli playing away at Inter though, the Rossoblu have a chance to save themselves against a struggling Fiorentina side. La Viola have failed to win any of their last 15 games, losing nine. Genoa start the game three points behind Fiorentina, but they can’t overtake Vincenzo Montella’s side due to their head-to-head record this season.
Gianluca Lapadula only has one goal to his name this season from eight appearances, but he’s likely to lead the line for Genoa this weekend. The Italian forward is 3/1 to score a potentially huge goal for his team, with a point likely to be enough for them to survive at Empoli’s expense. If you fancy taking a punt this weekend, you could throw our six goalscorer picks together in an accumulator for 107/1.
