From Inter Milan’s pulsating 3-3 draw at Fiorentina, which incredibly saw a 101st-minute equalising penalty for the home team, to Napoli’s 4-0 demolition of Parma, there were plenty of goals in Serie A last weekend. So, which games are looking good for both teams to score bets this week, and which are more likely to be one-sided or bore draws?
We start on Friday night at the Sardegna Arena, where Inter are aiming to put that late disappointment in Florence behind them as they play Cagliari. The Nerazzurri have won their last two games against Cagliari to nil, but both of those matches were at the San Siro. The last four meetings in Sardinia have seen both teams score, and it’s 17/20 for the same here.
On to Saturday, and the Rome derby has the potential to be an absolute cracker. Lazio are the home team, as they look to end a run of three without a win against Roma. Five of the last seven Serie A meetings between the rivals have seen both teams score, and we’re unlikely to see a repeat of the goalless draw in last season’s corresponding fixture. BTTS is 8/15 this weekend.
AC Milan host Sassuolo earlier in the day, and we’re backing against both teams scoring in this fixture, at 17/20. The visitors are having a solid season, but neither of these sides have been banging the goals in with too much conviction this term.
The same could certainly be said of Chievo, who are rooted to the bottom of the Serie A table. They have just one win and 10 points from 25 games this season, scoring only 19 goals in the process. The basement boys are away at Torino this weekend, who are having a strong campaign in seventh. We’re tipping against BTTS here at 4/7.
We’re also going against both teams hitting the back of the net as two struggling sides, Udinese and Bologna, meet on Sunday. Both sides have only managed to score 19 goals so far this season, and you can bet against BTTS at 4/6.
Finally, to Naples and this weekend’s blockbuster tie. Champions and runaway league leaders Juventus head to second-placed Napoli looking to strike what would surely be a fatal blow in this season’s title race. The Old Lady already have a 13-point lead at the top of the table. If that increases to 16, we might as well hand over the trophy now. If the gap comes down to 10, things might still be a little interesting.
With so much riding on the game, Napoli have to go for it. Juve can be impenetrable at the back at times, but five of the last seven meetings between the clubs have seen both teams score. The same on Sunday is 17/20. If you’re liking the look and sound of our Serie A both teams to score bets, why now throw them all into an accumulator? Doing so give you odds of 24/1 on this six-fold acca.
