What are the best Copa America final anytime scorer odds?

The 2019 Copa America final will feature hosts Brazil and huge underdogs Peru. Los Incas put in a convincing performance to beat reigning back-to-back champions Chile in the semi-finals, but the Selecao thumped them 5-0 in the group stages.

Tite’s side beat arch rivals Argentina 2-0 in the last four, ensuring they remain on track to keep up their impressive record of winning the Copa America every time it’s been staged on Brazilian soil. The Selecao are yet to concede a single goal this summer, and they’re huge favourites to lift the trophy at the Maracana on Sunday.

If you’re after some value in your bets for the final, then picking out potential scorers could be the way to go. Having said that, five different players were on target as Brazil eased to their victory over Peru in the group stages. If you think Los Incas can reverse their fortunes, Paolo Guerrero is one of their most dangerous players. He’s on two goals for the tournament, and 19/4 to increase his tally in the final.

However, the smart money goes on the Brazilian contingent. The Selecao also have three players on two goals for the tournament, Everton, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino. Of that trio, Liverpool forward Firmino will lead the line for Brazil this weekend, and he’s at 13/10 as part of the best anytime scorer odds for the Copa America final.

Gabriel Jesus is 23/20, after the Manchester City man opened his account with the crucial second goal against Argentina in the semis. He’s been out of the goals for his country, but that strike should renew his confidence and he’ll be keen to capitalise as he strives to show Pep Guardiola he’s worth a place in the starting line-up at Premier League champions City.

If you’re after longer odds, Everton is certainly worth a look at 23/10. Talented and dangerous, he’s kept Chelsea’s more experienced campaigner, Willian, out of the starting XI, and is set to keep his place on Sunday. If you think Brazil are going to thrash Peru once again, you can get 13/1 on Firmino, Jesus and Everton all hitting the back of the net this weekend.

Before the final takes place, we’ve got the third-place play-off between losing semi-finalists Argentina and Chile on Saturday. Lionel Messi only has one goal in the competition, and his lack of goals in knockout football for his country has been brought into question once more. With a home tournament to look forward to next summer though, Messi is 21/20 to score this weekend and answer some of his critics.

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez has had plenty of criticism in the last 18 months, but he’s been in good form for Chile in Brazil. He’s found the net twice, and is 11/4 to make it three on Saturday. Perhaps more likely would be Sergio Aguero finding the target though, with the Argentina striker 13/8 in the anytime scorer odds.
