What are the best odds on Nicolas Pepe’s club after the summer transfer window?

After an excellent season in Ligue 1 where he scored 22 goals in 38 games for Lille, Nicolas Pepe is a man very much in demand. The France-born Ivory Coast winger has been linked with a host of top clubs across Europe’s biggest leagues, so what are the best odds on Pepe’s club after the summer transfer window?

Bayern Munich are the 2/1 favourites to sign the 24-year-old as the Bavarians look to replace outgoing stalwarts Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, who’ve excelled on their flanks for many years. The Bundesliga side have also been linked with Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, as well as a renewed bid for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi, but Pepe could be the most attainable target.

However, Premier League side Arsenal are believed to have stolen a march on their rivals as Unai Emery looks for alternatives to Wilfried Zaha, who looks too expensive for their budget. Pepe won’t come cheap though, while the player’s agent appears to have dismissed reports that the Gunners have lodged a bid for his man. Despite that, Arsenal are among the favourites to secure his services, priced at 7/1.

Liverpool are shorter than that at 7/2, with Jurgen Klopp seemingly looking to strengthen his European champions’ forward options. Xherdan Shaqiri starts the season injured, while Daniel Sturridge is searching for a new club. Sadio Mane has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid, although it would take an astronomical bid to prize the Senegal forward from Anfield.

If certain rumours are to be believed, Liverpool’s local rivals Everton are supposed to be lining up a shock move to steal their neighbours’ transfer target from under their noses. Capturing the £60m-rated Pepe would be a huge statement of intent from the Goodison outfit, although the bookmakers aren’t so sure they can pull it off, naming a price of 25/1.

That’s the same as you can get on Tottenham, who are also looking to strengthen their squad. The Premier League clubs could come up against the wealth of Paris Saint-Germain though, with Pepe 8/1 to stay in Ligue 1 with a move to the French champions. PSG could certainly be on the lookout for a new wide forward with Neymar agitating for a move back to Barcelona and failing to report back to Paris for pre-season duty.

You can also get 8/1 on Pepe joining Inter, with the Milan side aiming to bolster their attacking options. However, Antonio Conte has prioritised Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, and two big-money deals appear to be out of reach for the San Siro outfit. Speaking of Man United, they’re available at 20/1 to sign Pepe, although they already seem well-stocked in the forward positions after adding exciting youngster Daniel James to their ranks. The safe money here goes on Bayern Munich.
